Hello fellow Book lovers,
Today I have a treat for you, I want to introduce you to a great new book coming out 7/5/16
But first lets get the technicalities out of the way. I won a ARC copy of this book in a giveaway from the publisher on Twitter. So thank you Atria Books.
First let me say that when the book came I was amazed by the packaging !
How awesome is that! it just makes me think wow this book is going to be good.
And of course I just had to start reading it, it like it was calling to me. always a good sign that I am going to enjoy the book. and Enjoy I did. I tweeted that author that this story is definitely made for TV mini series material. well that is until the rest of the series is released. It has everything you want in a creepy book, and definitely more. WARNING: Do not read late at night and if you are afraid of spiders. I say this because i could’nt sleep the first night that i read it, i keep thinking that there was something crawling on me. But that’s part of the appeal of the book.
I gave this book 5 stars on good reads. it had everything that I love in a book the creepy factor and mystery. the writing in the book was straight forward, no unnecessary explanations and very easy to read, i always understood where the story was headed.
Here a little synopsis from GoodReads:
An astonishingly inventive and terrifying debut novel about the emergence of an ancient species, dormant for over a thousand years, and now on the march.
Deep in the jungle of Peru, where so much remains unknown, a black, skittering mass devours an American tourist whole. Thousands of miles away, an FBI agent investigates a fatal plane crash in Minneapolis and makes a gruesome discovery. Unusual seismic patterns register in a Kanpur, India earthquake lab, confounding the scientists there. During the same week, the Chinese government “accidentally” drops a nuclear bomb in an isolated region of its own country. As these incidents begin to sweep the globe, a mysterious package from South America arrives at a Washington, D.C. laboratory. Something wants out.
The world is on the brink of an apocalyptic disaster. An ancient species, long dormant, is now very much awake.
“An apocalyptic extravaganza of doom and heroism…addictive.” —Publishers Weekly
“It’s been too long since someone reminded us that spiders are not just to be feared, but also may well spell doom for mankind. Fortunately, Ezekiel Boone has upped the ante on arachnophobia. This is a fresh take on classic horror, thoroughly enjoyable and guaranteed to leave your skin crawling.” —Michael Koryta, New York Times bestselling author of Those Who Wish Me Dead
After reading The Hatching, I’m even more afraid of Spiders, Cause you never know what they are capable of..
So if there’s one book that I recommend this summer it is definitely this one. Go Check it out.
That’s all for Today, I hope you enjoyed this post and share with your friends.
